Temporary Lane Closures on Connecticut Avenue NW between Calvert St. and Macomb St. June 18-July 18

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to close two lanes of traffic on Connecticut Avenue NW between Calvert Street and Macomb Street and restrict curbside parking on some blocks of the street starting Monday June 18. At least one lane will be open to the traffic in each direction.

The closures and restrictions are needed for construction work, which includes milling and paving.

The contractor is authorized to work weekdays during the daytime from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and nights from 9:00 pm to 4:30 am Monday through Thursday. The contractor is also authorized to work Saturdays from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by July 18, 2018, weather permitting.

Parking restriction signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance at locations where parking will not be allowed. These signs will notify the duration and dates of prohibited parking and provide contact information of the engineer in charge.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
