Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations, June 22 through 28


(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

  • Westbound Constitution Avenue Ramp to Westbound T. Roosevelt Bridge over Eastbound T. Roosevelt Bridge Ramp to Northbound Potomac River Freeway alternating right and left lane closures on Monday, June 25, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.

  • Northbound Pennsylvania Avenue over Anacostia River, Anacostia Park Drive, M Street, SE and CSX Railroad Tracks alternating right and left lane closures on Tuesday, June 26, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting

  • Westbound Q Street, NW over Rock Creek and Rock Creek Parkway lane closure with traffic shifted to Eastbound left lane on Tuesday, June 26, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting

  • Southbound Anacostia Freeway over Firth Sterling Avenue SE right lane closure on Wednesday, June 27, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting

  • Northbound Anacostia Freeway over Firth Sterling Avenue SE right lane closure on Thursday, June 28, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
