Temporary Lane Closures on Francis Scott Key Bridge,  June 22 through August 31

(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close two lanes on the Francis Scott Key Bridge in either direction, Southbound (toward Rosslyn) and northbound (towards Georgetown). The closures start Friday, June 22 and will last through Friday, August 31, 2018, weather permitting.

Weekday closures will take place Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, and overnight from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. Weekend closures start Friday at 7:30 pm and run continuously through Monday at 4:30 am.

The closures are needed to replace joints on the bridge deck and apply pavement markings. The closures are a part of the ongoing Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project

Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel.
