July 20 update from George Williams of the DC Public Library: “The Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library will be open on Saturday and Sunday. The partial roof replacement will be rescheduled.”

Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library to Close July 21 and 22

Two-day Closure Part of Roof Repair Work

(Washington, D.C.) – Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library, located at 7420 Georgia Avenue, NW, will have a partial roof replacement later this month. This partial roof replacement is the 2nd and final phase of replacing the entire roof of the library.  We expect this work to take one month. To support the work, a dumpster will be placed in two parking spaces on July 18. The library will be closed on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22. The library will remain open during the remainder of the work.
