Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library to Close Sept. 1 and 2

Two-day Closure Part of Roof Repair Work

(Washington, D.C.) – The Shepherd Park Library located at 7420 Georgia Avenue, NW will have a partial roof replacement. This work was initially planned for Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22. This partial roof replacement is the 2nd and final phase of replacing the entire roof of the library.  We expect this work to take approximately one month. To support the work, a dumpster will be placed in two parking spaces beginning on August 30. The library will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2 for the repairs, and will be closed Sept. 3 for Labor Day. The library will remain open during the remainder of the work.
