Temporary Overnight Lane Closures on I-395 Northbound from C Street SW to New York Avenue Begin August 27

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to close up to two lanes of traffic on I-395 northbound from C St SW to New York Avenue starting Monday, August 27, weather permitting. At least one lane will be open to traffic at all times.

The contractor is authorized to work Monday through Thursdays from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am.

The closures and restrictions are needed for construction work, which includes milling and paving. Construction is scheduled to be completed by September 21, 2018.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
