5,346

Here’s a listing of the candidates on DC’s primary ballots, as well as those running in the special election two weeks later to fill the vacancy in the Ward 2 DC Council seat. We’ve included links to candidates’ political websites and Twitter accounts for those running for local positions other than internal political party posts.

To limit the spread of COVID-19, the DC Board of Elections is encouraging residents to request an absentee ballot in order to prevent crowds at voting centers; the deadline for receipt of mail-in ballot requests is May 26. For the primary, 20 vote centers will be open daily from May 22 through June 2; operating hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. except on Election Day, when the centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For the Ward 2 special election, voter centers will operate from June 12 through 16. Any ideas on how to request a mail-in ballot if you don’t have a printer to print out your mail-in ballot form?

You can actually download that pdf file and fill it out then email it back, the email is on the form DCabsentee@dcboe.org

There’s also an app for DC Board of Elections. I downloaded the app and requested an absentee ballot for the rest of the year that way. Easy. Already voted and sent it back!

Why are there four candidates listed in the democratic presidential slot, some of those candidates have dropped out, this would make it unfair for those that have not kept up with the info.
