Colbert King in The Post: D.C.’s Ward 2 special election is far from irrelevant

As D.C. elections go, the June 16 special election to fill the vacant Ward 2 Council seat might appear to have little citywide importance. The winner only gets to serve the unfinished term of Jack Evans (D), which expires in January. At that point, the seat will go — for a full four-year term — to the winner of the November general election.
