The Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce shares the concern of the economic impact of the coronavirus on Black business. The District of Columbia has a proud and rich Black business legacy that we must preserve. Ben’s Chilli Bowl without question is one of DC’s iconic institutions. They and others have experienced an enormous amount of financial hardship during this extraordinary time. We are working hard with government officials to find solutions to provide assistance to the Black business community to ensure that they are able to recover and continue to serve the residents and visitors in the District of Columbia. While we continue to explore specific ways government relief can support Black businesses, we encourage the community to be intentional about doing business with and patronizing the community. #gwbcc
