LinkLinks Washington Post: U Street Music Hall, a star of D.C.’s nightlife scene, shutters because of ongoing pandemic By Editor On Oct 5, 2020 Last updated Oct 5, 2020 38 Share U Street Music Hall has permanently closed, the nightclub announced Monday. The underground club, which racked up national accolades for its sound system and for hosting a who’s-who of electronic DJs, has been closed to the public since March, and “it was untenable to continue there,” says owner Will Eastman. “The reality is there aren’t going to be any shows for six months to a year, especially in a basement dance club. That’s just not conducive to today’s environment.” 38 Share FacebookTwitterReddItWhatsAppEmailPrint
