By Editor On Jan 12, 2021 Last updated Jan 12, 2021 21 Share THERE WERE plenty of warnings about the potential for violence before last week’s murderous assault on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Trump seeking to disrupt congressional certification of Joe Biden’s election. Right-wing forums were filled with talk about storming the building, handcuffing lawmakers with zip ties, smuggling in weapons. Big protest, Mr. Trump had tweeted: “Be there, will be wild.” The warnings — including a report from the FBI about a “possible war” at the Capitol — disastrously went unheeded.
