Flower Mart, the annual family festival held on the grounds of Washington National Cathedral by All Hallows Guild, is cancelled for 2021 due to COVID-19 precautions.  This is only the second cancellation since World War II.  On May 6 and 7, 2022 Flower Mart will re-emerge, more robust than ever, to include the famous antique carousel, tours of the cathedral towers, dozens of vendors, carnival rides and games for the children, an astounding White Elephant sale, and of course, flower, plant and herb sales.

During the closing of the cathedral during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 59 acres of gardens and grounds of the Cathedral atop Mt. St. Alban have remained open and thriving—something only 4% of public gardens have been able to do in the current environment. While Flower Mart’s cancellation is disappointing for the thousands who attend annually, All Hallows Guild remains deeply committed, now, more than ever, to its mission as the stewards to the gardens and grounds surrounding Washington National Cathedral.  We simply ask the public to socially distance as they enjoy our oasis within the city and that they treat the surroundings respectfully.
