Washington Post: Bowser offers marijuana sales bill as Democratic control of Congress boosts hopes

D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) announced legislation Friday to legalize recreational marijuana dispensaries in the nation’s capital, the latest effort by Bowser and D.C. lawmakers to raise tax revenue and offer a business boost to low-income communities of color disproportionately impacted by pot criminalization.
