Washington Post: D.C. appeals court halts covid-related ‘compassionate release’ of convicted rapist

The D.C. Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked the release of a convicted rapist whose lawyers convinced a lower court that he should be freed from prison because his poor health and confinement make him acutely vulnerable to the coronavirus, even though he has been vaccinated.
