As Part of DC Values Week, the Mayor’s Office Of Community Affairs to Host Open House on Saturday, October 23

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs (MOLA) are proud to announce that a combined $1.2 million in grant funding has been awarded to 71 community-based organizations through the FY22 Latino Community Development Grant Program that serves Washington, DC’s Latino residents.

Washington, DC is stronger because of the diversity of our community – including a growing and vibrant Latino population,” said Mayor Bowser. “We look forward to partnering with these community organizations on a robust and equitable recovery that gives more residents a fair shot.”

For the FY22 Community Grant Program, grantees were selected based on the degree to which they target their efforts to serve DC’s Latino community by eliminating barriers to services in the areas of education, health and wellness, public safety, jobs and economic development, civic engagement, youth engagement, and arts and the creative economy.

The following organizations and programs will receive funding for the Latino Community Development Grant FY22:

On Saturday, October 23, at 11:00 a.m. Mayor Bowser and the Mayor’s Office on Community Affairs (MOCA) will host an Open House Meet & Greet. The Open House, which will be at the Reeves Center, will give residents an opportunity to learn more about the 12 constituent offices within MOCA and the services and resources they provide.
