Who’s lined up to run in the 2022 primaries?

Nominating petitions for DC’s June 21 primary election won’t be available until Jan. 28, according to the DC Board of Elections calendar. In the meantime, prospective candidates have begun filing with the DC Office of Campaign Finance or, in the case of DC delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives, with the Federal Elections Commission.

Below we’ve listed the government offices that will be on the 2022 primary ballot, along with registered candidates and links to available campaign websites and Twitter accounts. For incumbents who are seeking another term, our listing includes non-campaign websites and Twitter accounts. Note that independent candidates will not appear on the ballot until the November general election, when they will face nominees of the District’s recognized political parties selected in the June primary.
