(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the DC Government released the revised revenue estimates for the Fiscal Year 2022-2026 District of Columbia Budget and Financial Plan. The forecast for local fund revenue is revised upward in FY 2023 by $93.7 million, with a total revision upward of $451 million across FY 2022-26. In response to the new revenue estimates, Mayor Bowser released the following statement:
“We head into the new fiscal year with good news – that we continue to make strong and steady progress in our comeback. We also go into the new fiscal year on the heels of a week where we broke ground on new housing at Barry Farm, opened a full-service grocery store East of the River for the first time in 15 years, and pushed forward the revitalization of McMillan Reservoir. And this is why our recovery is so important – so that we can continue investing to create jobs, deliver the resources and amenities that residents need, and give more Washingtonians a fair shot.”
