Washington, D.C.– The Committee of 100 on the Federal City is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Vision Awards. Vision Awards are given each year to honor projects, plans, people, and organizations for innovations in planning, land use, and preservation that are visionary, innovative, provide notable benefits to the District of Columbia, and help to achieve a beautiful and livable city for all people.
We encourage nominations of outstanding citywide or smaller area projects, programs and plans, as well as the ongoing work of organizations and individuals that contribute to our city.
This year we are especially interested in recognizing outstanding projects in affordable housing, particularly low-income housing. We are pleased to announce that the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) will partner with us to publicize the call for nominations to ensure that the 2019 Vision Awards celebrate the many fine projects and people who are addressing the challenges of housing affordability in our city.
More information about award categories and a link to the nomination form is available at http://committeeof100.net/vision-awards/2019-committee-of-100-vision-awards/.
Nominations will be accepted up to Friday, March 8, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. Winners will be notified on or before April 15, 2019.
The 2019 Vision Awards event will be held at Trinity Washington University on May 29, 2019 from 6:00-8:30 PM. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. More information will be sent in April.
