On Thursday, Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C., joined arms with Mike Bloomberg, her choice to win the primary for the Democratic Party. During a press conference to announce her endorsement, Bowser and Bloomberg pledged to fight for affordable housing, gun control, and statehood for the District. In a tweet, the campaign also announced her new role as Bloomberg’s national campaign co-chair.
