WASHINGTON, D.C. – The District of Columbia Board of Elections (DCBOE) will continue to process Absentee Ballots over the coming days. When results were released early on June 3, approximately 50,000 Absentee Ballots had been received and counted. A total of 33,194 people voted in person – both during the voting period leading up to, and on, Election Day.
This count does not include Special Ballots or Absentee Ballots dropped off at Vote Centers during the voting period. They will be counted in the coming days.
A total of approximately 91,000 Absentee Ballots were requested by and sent to DC Voters prior to Election Day. Therefore, there are approximately 41,000 ballots issued to DC Voters that, if post marked by June 2, 2020 and received by DCBOE on or before June 12, 2020, will be counted.
Information will be updated as appropriate.
The District of Columbia Board of Elections is an independent agency of the District of Columbia Government responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access, and voter registration.
