LinkDistrict Links District Links: Victory for progressives in Ward 4 as Todd falls short in mayor’s base; curfew tonight starts at 11 p.m.; and more By Chris Kain and Cuneyt Dil On Jun 3, 2020 Last updated Jun 3, 2020 29 Share Happy Wednesday. Two of the three DC Council incumbents facing challengers in yesterday’s Democratic primary have clearly prevailed — even with potentially tens of thousands of absentee ballots still left to count. The other, Ward 4’s Brandon Todd, suffered a loss that will replace the mayor’s closest ally on the legislature with left-leaning Janeese Lewis George. In the Ward 2 race, meanwhile, Brooke Pinto leads runner-up Patrick Kennedy by about 100 votes, with former Council member Jack Evans seventh in the eight-person field, according to unofficial results released early this morning.
