Washington Business Journal: Amazon pledges $9 million to D.C. region to mark anniversary of HQ2 announcement

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) said Monday it will donate about $9 million to more than a dozen D.C.-area nonprofits and health providers to mark the two-year anniversary of naming Arlington the site of its second headquarters. The gifts are aimed at deepening the company’s commitment to the region it chose for its much-ballyhooed HQ2.
