(Washington, D.C.) – All DC Public Library locations will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 19 and Wednesday, Jan. 20 in support of the District’s preparations for Inauguration Day. The Library is open for virtual programming on Monday and Tuesday. Visit dclibrary.org or the Library’s app for digital content.

Additionally, Mayor Bowser announced the District’s use of Nixle for the 59th Presidential Inauguration. HSEMA, in coordination with the United States Park Police, will issue updates on public safety, street closures, weather alerts, transit updates, and more. To sign up, text INAUG2021 to 888-777.
