Washington Post Editorial Board: A senseless D.C. police pummeling was caught on video. But what are we not seeing?

Among the latest stomach-turning examples of police violence is a video clip of a D.C. officer pummeling a man as officers struggled to make an arrest Sunday. The misconduct is over the top, brazen, gratuitous. It could serve as a tutorial at the police academy for how not to detain a suspect, or as Exhibit A in any presentation on fraying relations between law enforcement and the communities it should serve and protect.
