Jail on Thursday, May 19, a spokesperson for D.C.’s Department of Corrections confirmed on Wednesday. A person detained at the jail was given naloxone (commonly known by the brand name Narcan), a medication that reverses opioid overdoses, and then treated at a local hospital before returning to the facility, the spokesperson said.
