Within hours of announcing that he was pulling the embattled nomination of Ed Martin as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, President Donald Trump announced a high-profile pick to fill the post on an interim basis: Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, a former county prosecutor and judge prior to her broadcast career.
