(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm, weather permitting, for impact attentuator and guiderail repairs.
The following roadways will be affected:
The ramp narrow and right shoulder of eastbound Benning Road NE at ramp to northbound Kenilworth Avenue NE
The left lane on ramp to eastbound Southwest Freeway which is the exit ramp to US Capitol SW
The left lane of I-295 northbound, north of the South Capitol Street SE overpass
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
